(CRI), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cooper Communities, Inc., a nationally known builder of planned retirement/recreational communities which was founded in 1954 by John A. Cooper. Cooper Communities, Inc. is one of the oldest and most respected community builders in the business and has developed several active communites across Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, West Virginia, and South Carolina.

To accomplish greater focus and maximize shareholder profitability, in 1997, Cooper Communites, Inc. (CCI) reorganized into its current structure of separate real estate operating companies and CRI has been the commercial acquisition and management arm of CCI since that time.
